The first ever ROV propeller cleaning
Using the first-ever remote propeller cleaning system, we perform quayside cleanings to further reduce your fuel consumption.
The remote system, explained.
We are proud to have set a new standard with the PropShiner — the world's first-ever propeller-cleaner ROV. Designed for efficiency and safety, the PropShiner operates in ports and terminals where divers cannot, enabling compliance with strict regulations. Cleaning is conducted while vessels remain operational, eliminating downtime. A clean propeller significantly reduces drag — often delivering up to 5% fuel savings. All biofouling is captured during cleaning and transported to our workboat for filtration and sustainable disposal.
What happens when you book with us.
You book a propeller cleaning
We plan the job with the captain and agent before the vessel comes in — everything prepared beforehand.
We clean your propeller
In port or at anchorage, we clean with our ROV from our workboat, normally within a standard port call.
We prepare the report
Before/after photos with draft marks where available. Our Digital Cleaning Log maps every photo location. Report within 48 hours.
We follow up
Our team discusses next steps based on the report and the condition of your propeller and coating.
Frequently asked questions
How is the propeller cleaning done?
A field-proven ROV with our in-house cleaning system, launched from our workboat and remotely operated from our ROV pilot cabin — no people in the water.
What happens to the biofouling?
Collected and sent topside to our workboat, where we filter, collect and sustainably dispose of it via dedicated onshore facilities.
When should I clean?
We recommend cleaning the propeller twice a year in line with industry standards to maintain efficiency and reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
